• Profile of Department :
  

  Commerce Education is that area of education which develops the required knowledge, Skills and attitudes for the successful handling of trade, commerce and industry. The world of business has tremendous potential for offering career opportunities in various functional areas, apart from offering self employment opportunities to empower woman through business education the department of Commerce came into existence with the inception of the college in year 1986. The eminent scholars who served the department are Dr. M. R. Patil, Principal, Vidya Probhodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management Poweri, Goa and Prof. Gamangatti, Former Principal of Shri Mritunjaya College, Dharwad. Many students have brought laurels to the department. During last five year one student bagged second rank to the University. Our alumni include Chartered Accountants, Professors, Judge, Bank officers, various positions in MNC’s, Entrepreneurs etc. Our Alumni have contributed to the department by donating funds and also motivated to the students by participating in our college activities. Department has three permanent faculties.
